In the last two weeks, I have received three invitations to bid for equal pay law and equal pay audit training. There is, and it does not surprise me, a growing interest in this topic. It is one of my specialist subjects from early days when I was employed by the Equal Opportunities Commission and had the good fortune to be heavily involved with the landmark Equal Value case Hayward v Cammell Laird (sometimes called Julie and the Joiner!).Some of you will also know of the pioneering work done by both the Fawcett Society and the David Wainwright Trust in equal pay research, campaigning and training.
If all this means something to you, then you are probably an anorak (lol) on the subject too! If you are and would like to join my panel of experts to be considered for inclusion in any programmes I roll out in a successful bid, please send me precise details of your experience with this kind of work. I won’t have the time to train up those with an interest but no experience. However, I am happy to build in “shadow” observer time for those wishing to develop their skills in this area- with client’s agreement of course. E mail me at trainingqed@aol.com
I cannot guarantee I will be successful with the bids but if nothing else this will build up a pool of experts for what I predict -you heard it here first lol -is going to be a growing demand. I might be wrong of course. My e mail is trainingqed@aol.com
