We currently pay our employees up to the end of the month ie payroll cut off mid month, but we estimate and pay on 28th for the full month.
Having had a 100% increase in headcount over the past 12 months it is proving difficult to administer with a flexible workforce (Retail).
I would like to amend the way we process the payroll, therefore paying to ACTUALS.
But this would mean that the employees would start to be paid 2 weeks in arrear.
Any suggestions for how to manage this would be appreciated.
Also, do i have to ‘consult’ with the employees before going ahead with anything?
