We have historically provided all our staff with a turkey for Christmas, the administration and time involved has become prohibitive for 4,000+ staff employed in the UK.

I am looking to replace this with the equivalent value of £20 store voucher (Sainsbury/M&S or similar)for everyone.

As far as I can ascertain any “cash” would not be eligible for dispensation and the company would therefore have to pay tax & NICs, is my understanding correct or is there a legal route for tax avoidance on this relatively small amount?

thanks
