We have very sructured pay scales which employees progress through automatically on their yearly anniversary until they reach the top of the scale. We are trying to introduce 4 extra spine points on each scale based on performance. The idea is to make these criteria very specific,in order to exclude chance of favouritism and doubt, byt I am struggling to come up with reasonable criteria. We are a telecommunications Company and the majority of our employees are technical or industrials as they were once called. If anyone has something similar thatthey could share I’d appreciate it.
