Hi
After meeting a member of staff who had to reluctantly reduce his hours after advice from our Occ Health Specialist, can anyone tell me how DDA sickness is different to other types of sickness?
The TU rep said that if this man was off sick for his disability ie spondylosis, we do not record this as normal sickness. He is entitled to 130 days sick (full pay) per year.
I am not sure what the TU rep is talking about. I thought if you were off sick for either flu, vomitting etc it was the same as being off work with your disability?
I advised that we would make reasonable adjustment to accommodate anyone under the DDA, but does anyone know what the TU guy is referring to?
