HR admin supervisor post requires an assessment centre consisting of HR questions, an interview and a group exercise for a salary less than £20k. An internal comms post for £30k – 1 interview!

Admittedly different companies but differing recruitment methods. I have heard colleagues say that they would be put off by an assessmdent centre if they had an interview like that. What do you think? Heavy handed or justified?
