I have been asked if it is possible to use salary sacrifice for staff to top up canteen purchase cards. The idea being that at the beginning of their tax year they allocate a sum of money to be paid monhtly to go onto their canteen card to buy food in the company subsidised canteen. I’ve not come across this before, and am also not sure that salary sacrifice can be used in this way – does anyone have any thoughts?
