My granddaughter has been constructively dismissed as a part time cricket & bowling club steward after 9 years service. She has never received a contract of employment and never received holiday pay. She is going to ACAS/tribunal. Our understanding is that she should have been paid holiday pay. Is her entitlement for one year or right back to commencement of employment in 2005. She was responsible for organising staff, stocking the bar, cashing up, opening and locking up etc. The club decided, without discussion with staff,that they were going to recruit a fulltime bar manager (one of the club members) thereby reducing other staffs' working hours, responsibilities and pay.
