Experience of modern apprenticeships?

Does anyone have any experience of modern apprenticeships that they would be willing to share?

I am currently investigating the possibility of using modern apprenticeship as a way of bringing new employees into the business (IT).

Does anyone have a sample contract that they would be willing to share? What sort of experiences have people had with apprenticeships? Have people found them successful? What pitfalls should someone new to the scheme be aware of? How did people deal with it if it didn’t work out?
