An employee who swore at a customer and then went off sick with stress for two weeks has recently resigned to their line manager by text message stating that they cannot return to their position as they do not feel that they will be treated fairly and they are not happy with the treatment they have received.
I have invited them to a meeting to discuss their employment related issues but they failed to attend.
Does anyone have any advice on this one and how I should progress.
