We occasionally have grievances raised by employees who are going through a disciplinary procedure.

I am putting together some guidelines for our Managers should this situation arise, and would be interested in any comments out there.

We generally feel that if the grievance is related to the disciplinary, then the disciplinary is put on hold, while the grievance is sorted out. Then, back to the disciplinary.

If the grievance is unrelated, then both procedures are carried out along side each other, with different Managers handling the procedures.
