How do you tackle an employee who persistently swears in front of colleagues and minors within their workplace? We have a person who frequently uses offensive language at times when you would not wish this sort of language to be overheard. We do not have a policy on this type of thing but obviously we cannot just ingnore the situation. The person cocerned feels there is nothing wrong with their choice of language and that is just how they are and takes a “like it or lump it attitude”. How can we best approach this issue without having a policy to refer to and how can we achieve the desirable outcome?
