We have an employee who has been off since july lts. Werecently started a redundancy process and he was invited to 2 consultation meetings which he did not attend or did not give a reason why, we cannot contact him by phone. The selection process has been completed and by the end of this wk the redundancies take effect. How do we go about dealing with him. I am planning on inviting him to a final meeting to discuss what the whole process has been and that he has been unsuccessful and give him his notice. Will this suffice? I have concerns that we are basically goin through the whole processs in one go, but what else can we do?
