Mileage or Car allowance for employees

I need some help, there has been a request made by a number of employees to raise the amount of mileage we pay for staff using their own cars for business calls. On average they travel between 1000 and 5000 a year and we currently pay 40pence a mile. What I would like is some sort of comparative analysis with other organisations nationally. Not just in terms of mileage but maybe other models used i.e. car allowance etc. Does anyone know where i could obtain this information?
