A new employee was due to start work with us today – but hasn’t turned up. I’ve double checked the details sent out to her by our HR dept which clearly stated she was to start today at 9.30. They have been unable to reach her on the phone no they have for her and have also emailed. Not sure what we can do on this other than carry on chasing her up – but interested to hear anyone else’s experience on this. It’s not a junior position, and she seemed very keen up to Thurs (when HR last spoke to her). Has anyone else had a similar issue?
