A friend of mine works in an IT department and today an email was sent out to all staff with an attachment of a Rota for Out of Hours assistance to which employees can call a member of the IT team if they are having problems with equipment/systems etc. She wants to know if they can implement this without her consent. She has a 3 year old and her husband works away alot so her priority is her child. She also wants to know if she could request call out fees or some financial incentive for this. Also would there have to be a change in contract to incorporate this.
