Hello

 
I am connected with a small organisation (less than ten employees) that has a paid vacancy, a friend of one of the members of the organisation looks perfect for the role and it’s been suggested that the job should be given to them without any other form of recruitment process, no advertising or interviews.
 
I am unhappy with this, am I being unreasonable? What are the actual pitfalls? When and if I argue against this what should be my basis for arguing both in legal terms and best practise?
