OK I have a friend, who is 6 months pregnant and is currently having a lot of time away from work for anti-natal scans and appointments. Her Manager, wants to reduced her working days from 5 days to 3. But she is concerned that if she agrees to this her mat pay during leave will be affected. Is this the case?
She has stated that if it is, she won’t agree to it but her manager is giving her a really hard time about the time off she is receiving. Can they enforce a reduction in hours? Or even force her to start her mat leave earlier? She only plans to work until she is 7.5/8 months.
