I have been asked some questions regarding redundancy and as I have never been involved with this I was hoping I may get some answers here.
1) Can the company make the employees take any accrued holiday before the end date including holiday that was b/fwd from the previous year?
2) Can the company issue redundancy letters with specifying a termination date – the company have said ‘will close within 3 to 5 months’.
3) Does the company have to inform the DTI 30 days before they announce the redundancies?
