When calculating redundancy payments, I often cross check my calculations against the Redundancy Reckoner on the Direct.Gov website. This will often conflict with my calculations if for instance part of the individuals service is calculated at 0.5 weeks per year and part of the calculation is calculated at 1 week per year. (as their age during their service increases)
My question therefore is does anyone have a specific formula that can be used in an Excel spreadsheet when calculating what element of the redundancy should be paid at 0.5 / 1.0 / 1.5?
Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks in anticipation.
