Following a benchmarking exercise on a new role, it is likely that some employees will be found to be over the proposed new salary band for this role when they are reployed into it. It could be 3 to 4 years for them to be eligible for a pay rise as the band needs to catch up with the salary. Apart from having no pay increase for that period pension contributions will be affected. Can any one suggest any solutions that are fair to all sides please.
