Hi all.

Can anybody tell me if there are any legal obligations regarding sickness absence notification?   We would obviously like employees to notify us as soon as possible, but can we insist they do so by a certain time, say 30 minutes before their working day is due to commence?

Of the sample procedures I’ve found, most state ‘within one/two hours of the scheduled start time’, but this arrangement would seriously impact our business.

Any help greatly appreciated.
