I hope someone out there can give me some advice…
I am in the process of putting together lots of policies for a newly formed NHS social enterprise company, an Industrial and Provident Society.
Staff are employed on a zero hours bank contract basis providing out of hours emergency care. This means they work on a rota / shift basis agreed 2 months in advance. Typically, the shifts are 8 hrs long on Saturdays / Sundays. No employees work Mon-Fri. Some staff also work for other employers.
Can anyone tell me if and how SSP would apply?
Next for me to tackle is Maternity Policy – so any help on that would be much appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance
