Unused holidays and resignation

I have received a job offer that i intend to accept. My current notice period is only 1 week but i have 10 days of unused holidays up my sleeve. My question is this, If i give notice and work out the week is my employer required to pay me the untaken entiltlements or should i take my holidays before giving notice.
