I work for a small company and we have recently recruited a new Sales Director. I do not work in sales but obviously in a small company, our roles cross over and I am involved in legal support to the sales team – e.g. raising contracts, license agreements, letters of engagament etc. Some mmonths ago, the MD of the company agreed that I could test working at home 3 days per week as I have an extremely long home-work journey, with a view to doing this permanently. I spoke the MD earlier this week and said I would like to begin testing this from 1 April. He then said that the new Sales Director didn’t think it was a good idea so I should leave things as they are. Since I already had his verbal approval, can this just be withdrawn?
