I don’t know about you but I love hearing about the different journeys people have through HR.
Some have been clear about their path all the way through. Others have joined the HR community part way through their working life. Some specialise and some like the variety of a more generalist role.
The twists and turns of the journey fascinate me as well…training, coaching, mediating, change management, reward, shared services, recruitment, performance management, process improvement, all skills that we pick up along the way.
What attracts us to the different areas of HR and what shapes the choices we make about how to contribute in the world of HR – corporate roles, consultancy roles, recruitment consultants, legal specialists, small business specialists, coaches, mentors and many more…
I’m planning on using this blog to showcase the twists and turns of our HR journeys. Along the way I’ll feature stories from HR professionals who are willing to share their journey and what it means for them. I’ll also share the top tips they’ve picked up along the way.
