  1. LinkedIn is more professional
    LinkedIn is aimed at professionals and is probably a good starting point to look for people and find out their history.

    Facebook is more personal and profiles are often restricted if you are not their ‘friends’.

    The best tool on the web is Google. Search for skills, search for people.
