Software Satisfaction Awards 2011: The winners revealed

More than 300 people gathered at the Marriott in London’s Grosvenor Square on Tuesday to celebrate the Software Satisfaction Awards

Sift Media, our publisher, partnered with technology association Intellect to host the awards, which were presented by former Labour spin doctor Alastair Campbell.
 
Entertaining the audience with his sentiments on the recent RIM/Blackberry crisis and his Twitter activities, Campbell said: “It’s been better than most awards ceremonies I’ve been too, I’ll give you that!”
 
Team Seer Ltd won an impressive double in the SME Human Resources & Human Capital Management and Enterprise Human Resources & Human Capital Management categories, as did Relate Software, which won awards for SME CRM & Customer Management and Accountancy Practice Management. 
 
In the Accounting and Finance category, NetSuite secured the award for Enterprise and KashFlow Software took home the award for SME. 
 
Acorah Software Products Ltd won the tax category and Version One for the Paperless Office & Document Management award.
 
Pegasus triumphed in the Payroll category with the prize for Enterprise Payroll and SME Payroll going to The Payroll Site
 
Enhanced won Reseller of the Year and FreeAgent took home the coveted Software Vendor of the Year title.
 
The Intellect Innovation Award went to biometric software provider Unilink
 
Other winners were Salesforce.com which took the award for CRM & Customer Management, Sage UK took Business Intelligence & Corporate Performance Management, E-procurement Software took Advanced Business Solutions.
 
HM Revenue and Customs‘ Stephen Banyard took home the prestigious BASDA Theo Van Dort award.
 
Monitoring the ceremony’s Twitter hashtag #SSA11 during his speech, Campbell ended the ceremony with a personal award for ‘Most sycophantic tweet of the night’, which went to David Evans at the Chartered Institute for IT.
