What is the definition of a training day

I am looking to measure the amount of training days within the organisation and need to decide what to include/exclude.

    In my opinion, training days are mesured by the amount of time spent with a Tutor, Trainer or Instructor.

    Actual time spent studying/researching should not be included with the number of guided learning hours (GLH).
