I am currently on the 5th month of employment and was given six months probation.
Last Thursday I received a letter from the company saying I am part of a ‘pool’ of 25 employees where they have to choose 10 to be made redundant. This was brought about due to the loss of should be expected work, in short the company is struggling with overhead cost and now considering to re-structure.
Now as I’ve been advised, will redundancy apply in my case considering I’m still on my probationary period?
