I have recently embarked upon my dissertation for my MA in Personnel and Development and CIPD qualification.
My research is based around staff and managers perceptions of the HR function (i.e. the service that we provide).
I have read some of Ulrich’s literature on assessing the added value of HR. However, I am still struggling to find a useful set of questions/tool to use in order to generate the primary data I require.
If anyone has carried out a similar study, with regards to the perceptions that organisations have of their HR function, I would be very grateful for some practical guidance about how you collected data and the issues you faced. Alternatively if you are aware of any literature/models/concepts on the subject I would be grateful for the reference details.
