We employ a number of part time people who work less than 5 days per week. We also employ job sharers – e.g. one person works Mon, Tues & Wed & the other works Wed Thurs & Fri.

My question is, how do you deal with bank holidays for these people? We pro rate holiday entitlement – e.g. down to pt hours or pro rate if less than 5 days worked. My concerns are fairness for people who work the end part of the week & as a result, get less bank holidays falling in their working days & also potentially discriminating against these people who are all women.

Any advice gratefully received.
