Hello. We are holding our end of year event in December and are sending something out so that employees can prepare really early. The theme is gangsters etc (not really Christmassy at all, as we do not want to offend anyone).


If you call it a Christmas party is that really offending anyone? It is the proximity to Christmas which makes it a Christmas party, yet indirectly it will discriminate against those who are not Christian. Having asked some Jehovah’s witnessess and Muslims who work for us, neither group was bothered what it was called, neither group was coming in any case because of serving alcohol.

Is it PC nonsense or should we call it a Christmas Party?
