The cleaning service in one of our halls of residence is contracted out. We have realised that the agreement we have with the contract company is no longer suitable and we intend to re-tender (could be the company is re-awarded the contract, though there is no guarantee). We have given the company 3 months notice under the terms of the contract. I have little experience of TUPE and was wondering if anyone could offer advice on any TUPE obligations we may have or is the consultation with staff down to the employing contract company?
