I need some advice.
I started some employees this morning on a temporary contract and one of the boys has been recognised as having stabbed a longer term employee’s son. Although he has not been charged yet the court case is still going on so he might well be charged. He is known to have a bad temper too.
The Operations Director has advised me to pay him off as he does not want other employees at risk.
From a legal point of view can I terminate his employment (on hear say it would seem).
(He came across really well at interview but did not come across as well during his induction this morning).
