My boss is refusing to come in this week and saying that he will not return to the business as he feels no one is listening to him and no one does what he asks. He has shouted at several members of staff in the past few weeks, including myself. And yesterday even suggested I should/could hand in my notice. There has been no indication to me of any poor performance on my part in the past, quite the opposite.
Other staff are now asking me what is happening and where the boss is and I do not know what to tell them.
This is not the first time this person has refused to come in out of frustration, however there is no one above them and it is therefore difficult for me to know what to do – I also don’t want to put my job in further jeopardy.
Any ideas?
