We currently have a Supervisor who has worked with the company for 3 yaers, he performs well in his job but there has been an on going issue with his time keeping. He arrives late at work and leaves before the end of his shift. He doesn’t see this as a problem as he believes he is a good worker. Over the last 12 months he has had a verbal warning and is currently on a written warning on this same issue and he hasn’t made any improvement, neither is he likely to beacause he doesnt see it as a problem.
My question is another disciplinary meeting has been scheduled with the employee for next week, can he be demoted with a cut in his hourly rate as we believe he is not setting a good example for the team he supervises.
