I prepared a disciplinary outcome letter with my details on the header. I then asked the Director who had conducted the meeting to check the content and sign.
My CEO who is also a Solicitor (not employment) has told me that from a litigation point of view, this is a mistake and we would be criticised for this in a court of law. His point is that it would not be clear who had made the decision.
I think he is nit picking but wanted to check no-one else agreed with this. I can easily change my way of working but want to satisfy myself that I haven’t been doing it incorrectly all these years!
