I am trying to write a disciplinary and grievance procedure for a very small company – 4 employees and 1 MD. In such a company (where there is no seniority amongst the other staff and no one else who can get involved) if a disciplinary situation was to occur and was conducted by the MD (as it would be) who can the employee appeal to? Would it be the MD again?
