Hi
I would appreciate some feedback. When running recruitment interviewing training, I would like to give participants an exercise called ‘Discriminatory or not’, which would be a set of questions that could be asked of a candidate at interview. Could I ask for comments about whether the following questions could be considered discriminatory:
1. Are there any reasons why you would find it difficult to work weekends?
2. How do you feel about being managed by a younger team leader? (asked of an older candidate)
3. Do you suffer from any medical condition that might affect your performance in the job?
4. Can you give me an example of when it has been difficult to balance personal commitments against work demands?
5. Do you suffer from any disabilities that may affect your performance in the job?
6. You are required to be a fire warden as an additional responsibility of the job. How do you feel about that?
Many thanks for your anticipated help.
Happy Days!
Bryan
