I am developing an L&D project for a Mental Health charity providing work opportunities within the Trusts community projects. The Trust is now focused on offering the same opportunities to people with mental health problems and offences.

The aim is to provide people with the opportunity of work experience with a focus on developing appropriate workplace behaviour and skills.Ultimately, the project is funded to provide support & development towards achieving full time paid employment (the Trust provides work opportunities on a voluntary basis).

I provide opportunities for people with the full range of offences.The majority of offences aren’t spent and some restrictions may apply.

I have been very encouraged by the reports issued by the C.I.P.D on this subject but can’t seem to get further than the theory. I would be very grateful for inforamtion regards sympathetic employers who are actively practicing the theory. Are there any industry agreements or focus groups that I could make contact with?
