Currently the way our business is set up is as an Industrial Provident Society which means employees can buy a share in the Comapny and in addtion receive a free gym membership for  a friend or family member (they already have one themselves as an employee)

We are having to change our legal status (to become a charity) which will mean we will no longer be able to offer the share.

We would like  a way to still offer the friend or family  membership but looking for come qualifyiing criteria to put against it.  We have asked staff for ideas as well.

Would a 6 month waiting period be safe (not long enough to hit any age related issues) and this would see new staff through thier probation period.  Or any other suggestions would be welcome.
