We are facing economic problems in the moment and our revenues are severly reduced.

To compensate for that we are thinking of making the Sales manager redundant and let a more junior sales executive take over his responsibilities in addition to his own ones.

Now it can be that our financial situation will improve towards the end of the year and we then might need to be hiring a Sales Manager again (and not necessarily the same person).

What is the minimum period that we have to maintain to avoid any potential trial because of unfair dismissal?
