I am interested in views on hiring pregnant women. Would you hire a pregnant woman for a permanent or contract job if you knew she was pregnant at interview.

What if she didn’t tell you she was pregnant at that stage and told you later once she had started (I know that she doesn’t have to tell you till she is 21 weeks pregnant). It’s obvious that there wouldn’t be much that you could do about it but how would you feel as an employer?
