We have an employee who was diagnosed with cancer and is thankfully on the road to recovery although is still on long term sick leave, he has been abesent from work now for 18months+. There does not seem to be any end to the ‘long term sick’ has anyone any ideas what to do now? we are covering his workload and have been for the last 18+ months. Also i am of the understanding that he should have accrued holiday pay during the time he has been off can anyone advise if this is correct?
