We have an employee who currently has a prime working location as one of our offices (per their T&C’s), they have requested to have this location changed to home as most of their role can be carried out their and the journey to the office is not necessary. Being a HR/employment law novice, can anyone tell me if there is any rule to say that the journey has to be greater than x miles to enable the employee to be deemed as a home/tele worker or is it just at the discretion of the employer?
