After October 1st could it be deemed discriminatory to have longer serving employees on higher salaries than employees with less service but doing the same job?
The company provides a yearly salary increase and staff with longer service tend to be on slightly higher rates of pay than those who have commenced employment with us more recently.
If this is to become illeagal how is this best remedied? I dont think red circling is lightly to go down well with the long serving staff and I dont think a significant salary increase to all the more recently employed staff will go down well with the MD.
