Our HR policy link (to the intranet) was deactivated over 12 months ago, while the policies were being updated. They have still not be updated.

As such we have no access to any policies (we are a company of > 200 employees) apart from the Global policy which it states is for the Canadian Employees of the company.

Does a company have to provide HR policies?

The reason for asking is that I hope to hand in my notice in a few weeks time and am hoping to be offered the "gardening leave" recently paid to other employees on resignation. I’d like to see if this offer is in black and white anywhere or was a good will gesture as the employee was "mates with the HR manager".

Thanks
