We are undergoing a review of all of our policies as part of our culture change process. Is there any reason we can’t have our policies in plain language as long as all the key points are covered? We are aiming to be more open and accessible so the language we use is key, e.g. replacing “the employee” with “you” and “expected week of confinement” with “expected week the baby is due”. I think using the generic jargon creates suspicion that we are trying to hide something.
Thanks for your time.
