We’ve recently lost our occupational health nurse in a redundancy excercise, and the company are reluctant to allow us to use an outsourced company for medical screening. We are planning to write directly to GP’s for information and advice on individual Sickness issues, but I need to design a pre-employment medical questionnaire to give to new employees. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for as there is no-one to identify potential problems? I have included all the usual questions about medical history.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation and how have you coped without any Occupational Health resources? I’d also be grateful if anyone could share their own pre-employment questionnaires with me.
